Cabell Robinson was for more than a decade chief of operations for all of Robert Trent Jones's European projects, and in the past twenty years he has built a reputation of his own in Spain and France. The acclaimed Finca Cortesin outside Marbella may be his most noteworthy work yet.

The course is to be sure quite long, but that seems to be just what the top pros want. Crooked shots will definitely cause problems, but they are easily distinguishable, with a sufficient margin for error. The course is also attractive to average players, since there are tees for every standard, the condition is excellent and the views from the hilltop are breathtaking.
